Floor and strength
Every LOADED coin shows two words under its market cap, never mixed. The floor is the bid: where the vault buys with its ammo, stored on chain and only ever raised. Strength is how much of that bid is left: the ammo now against the ammo the floor was last set with. In Floor mode the vault is 100% ammo — nothing is held back, and nothing is paid out on request.
The floor: where the vault bids#
The floor is the level at which the vault's ammo could buy 10% of every token in circulation; the site shows it as a market cap, the floor MC. Each time SOL comes into the vault, the program recomputes that level. If it is higher than the stored floor, it becomes the new floor; if it is lower, nothing happens. There is no code path that stores a lower number.
When the coin trades below the floor, anyone can trigger the vault's buy, and the buy stops at the floor. That is what “defended” means: a standing bid, paid for with real SOL, at a level that only rises.
Strength: how much of the bid is left#
Every time the floor steps up, the program records the ammo it was set with (defense_at_ratchet). Strength is today's ammo divided by that number: 100% means the whole bid is there; 60% means a dump has spent 40% of it and nothing has refilled it yet. It is uncapped — a refill past the last step reads above 100% until the next ratchet resets it. Coverage is the other read: ammo divided by the floor times the float (tokens outside the vault and the venue), the share of the float the vault could buy at the floor.
| State | Strength | The slab | The line |
|---|---|---|---|
| Clean | ≥ 90% | Whole, full yellow edge | Floor $465K · 29% under high · 400 SOL bidding · strength 100% |
| Cracking | 40–90% | Hairlines open from the top | Floor holding · 280 SOL left · 3 buys this hour |
| Weak | under 40% | Cracks and spalling, dimmed edge | Floor weakening · 120 SOL left |
| Rationed | any, window spent | Intact; the bid resumes next window | Floor bidding · window spent, resumes 14:00 |
| Broken | 0 | Grey, no edge | Floor broke 14:32 · no bid |
| Repairing | back to ≥ 90% | Cracks close (the cure animation) | Repaired · +40 SOL from sale at 1.3× floor |
The same states drive the chart, the board, the sparkline on every card and the share image: cracks are drawn from strength, nothing else. Floor vs high is a third read on the floor itself: the floor MC as a share of the coin's highest MC.
No floor at launch#
Every launch puts its whole first buy into tokens: the site, the SDK and the CLI send pour_bps 0 for a self-sponsored launch, and queued pool launches pour 0%. So a coin has no floor at launch. The floor starts with the vault's first sale into a pump (or the first fee or donation) and steps up from there. The program still takes pour_bps (at most 50%): a non-zero pour would skip the inventory buy and become ammo at once, clamped so the floor sits at least 15% under the spot after the buy.
Rationing#
buy_floor may spend at most 15% of the ammo per 1 hour. Ammo that lands mid-window (a sale, fees, a donation) grows that window's room right away, and the hour's cap never shrinks before it rolls. A dump that needs more gets a partial buy (FloorBought.rationed) and the rest waits for the next window or new ammo; a window with no room left refuses the call (FloorBuyRationed). The ration keeps one coordinated dump from draining the whole bid in a block; the slab reads rationed while the price sits on the floor with the window spent.
Repair and reinforcement#
- Inflows repair. Fees, the profit of a vault sale, and donations — plain SOL sent to the launch account, absorbed by the next instruction — all become ammo in Floor mode. Strength climbs back; when the floor steps up, it resets to 100%.
- The pool can reinforce.
reinforce_floorlets the sponsor pool's operator lend SOL into a broken Floor-mode vault (up to a share of the pool's NAV per launch and in total). It is ammo at once; the vault repays it with a premium from sale proceeds before any profit counts. The pool. - An admin withdrawal lowers it.
admin_withdraw_vaulttakes ammo and is exempt from the floor guard. It stays in the program and is documented, never promoted. Admin powers.
The formulas#
As the program computes them (SPEC §5–§6, math.rs). The program stores the floor per token, as lamports per base unit × 264; the site multiplies it by supply and shows market caps, in USD at the live SOL price (in SOL when it has none). Integer division rounds toward the vault.
Three details matter. The sponsor's inventory counts: the vault sells it into circulation, and a first buy can take up to 75% of supply, so a floor sized on today's circulating alone would be defended for a fraction of the tokens that can reach it. Redeemed tokens stay in the floor's denominator on the modes that redeem: burning tokens shrinks circulating, which would otherwise let anyone ratchet the floor for free. And a ratchet resets strength: the ammo at the step is recorded, and every buy after it is measured against that number until the next step.
Coverage is a choice on creator-funded coins. defense_ratio_bps sizes the floor to absorb a sell of that share of the float: Tight, 5% of the float (the default when you fund it yourself), sits about twice as high; Deep, 10% (and the platform's 10% on pool-funded coins), holds a dump twice as big. Either way it is a bid, not a guarantee: bigger dumps go through once the SOL is spent.
A deferred payback never draws on a defended floor. When the creator takes their first buy back later, every sale builds the floor first. pay_deferred_sponsor, a crank anyone may call, pays them back at cost only once the ammo holds 5× the first buy, at most 10% of the ammo per payout and once every 4 hours, never while the floor is defending (spot or reference under 1.1× the floor) or after a floor buy in the window, and never below 5×.
Worked example#
One Floor-mode vault, four events, computed with the SDK's copy of the program's integer math and the live params. The inputs are made up and stated; every other number is derived.

The whole first buy went into tokens, so the coin had no floor at launch; this ammo came from the vault's first sale into a pump. The floor is sized for circulating plus the inventory, because the vault will sell the inventory into circulation. Strength is 100% — the ammo is exactly what this floor was set with. Coverage is the share of the float the ammo buys at the floor.

1 SOL of creator fees comes in
The vault keeps 80% of it (the rest goes to the AI treasury, the $LOADED buyback and pool backers). In Floor mode the whole inflow is ammo; the floor is recomputed, and it is higher, so it is stored. One lift poured, and the ammo at this step becomes strength's new denominator.

A dump, and the vault buys the floor — rationed
The market cap falls under the floor MC; a crank calls buy_floor. Lifting the price back to the floor would take 1 SOL, but a window lets the vault spend 15% of its ammo per 1 hour, so the buy is rationed: it spends the room and the rest waits for the next window. Ammo goes down, the stored floor stays where it is, and strength reads what is left.

A sale repairs it
Price runs to 2× the floor — past the coin's sell threshold (1.3× by default when creator-funded, 2× when pool-funded) — and a crank calls sell_strength on the tokens the vault bought. The proceeds run the waterfall: the tokens' cost comes back to the ammo first, then 5% of the profit goes to $LOADED and the rest is an inflow — all ammo in Floor mode. The slab is whole again, and the floor ratchets up. A donation (plain SOL sent to the vault) repairs the same way.

The same math on a live coin#
The coin with the highest floor right now, with the indexer's numbers plugged into the formulas above. The stored floor is never below the computed one; it is above it when the vault has spent ammo on floor buys since the last ratchet — which is exactly what strength reads.
What a dump does to the floor#
The bid is an order with a size: the ammo, and this hour's ration of it. Sell a share of the float at once on today's reserves and the program's own buy_floor sizing says where the price ends, what the vault spends and whether the floor holds. A diagram of the rule, not a forecast; every coin page runs the same simulator under its chart.

On a coin page every level is a market cap: MC and floor MC (floor × supply). Under them you'll see strength, coverage and Floor vs high; the Floor wall next to the chart reads them as one bid: the SOL bidding, the sell it holds and what it can spend this hour. Burn, Pulse and Diamond coins also show a backing MC, what redeem pays. The glossary defines each.
